The government have announced plans for a mass fleet of electric vehicles in Ireland.

A new €30 million bio-energy park planned for Ireland is expected to be operational by November 2010, the park will allow agri-food businesses, green technology companies and leading developers of sustainable products to co-locate and share the benefits of stable energy costs.

Plans between major banks and building industry on cheaper loans for energy-saving improvements to be carried out on homes and offices.
